Vaporesso XROS Pods

XROS Pods work in any of the Vaporesso XROS vape kits, so if the name of your kit includes the word XROS, these pods are compatible. The only thing to watch out for is the 0.4ohm resistance option as they only work in the XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, XROS 4 Nano and XROS Pro.

1. Remove the mouthpiece: The easiest way to do this is to snap the mouthpiece off by pushing it away from the device rather than trying to grip it and pull off.
2. Locate the fill port: This is located to the side of the airflow tube at the top of the pod. Do not put e-liquid in the central airflow tube as this will cause leaking and gurgling.
3. Fill with e-liquid: Push the nib of your e-liquid bottle through the fill port and squeeze the bottle to fill the pod with e-liquid. Do not overfill the pod as there needs to be air inside the pod to prevent leaking.
4. Replace the mouthpiece: Ensure this is on securely as if it is not fully attached the pod may leak.
5. Prime the pod: When filling a brand new pod it is important to leave the pod filled with e-liquid for up to 5 minutes to ensure the coil is fully saturated before vaping. Priming ensures the pod doesn't burn out when you first use it and ensures a smooth vaping experience.

You are now ready to vape! Simply pop the pod in your kit and you are good to go.

XROS pod generally last between 1 and 2 weeks depending on usage. If you are a heavy vaper expect them to last up to a week, and if you are a light vaper they will last up to 2 weeks or more. To prolong the life of the pods keep them topped up with e-liquid to avoid dry hits and ensure you are using the correct e-liquid type.

If the pod is brand new and it tastes burnt it is likely that you have not allowed enough time for the coil to soak up the e-liquid before starting to vape. When filling a new pod with e-liquid you need to leave it to soak for up to 5 minutes to ensure the coil is fully saturated before vaping. There is no way to salvage a pod once it tastes burnt, unfortunately, you will have to replace the pod with a brand new one.

If you have been using the pod for 1 week or more before it starts to taste burnt it is likely that the pod has come to the end of its life and now needs to be replaced.

The most common cause of gurgling with an XROS pod is that it has been overfilled. Take care when refilling to ensure you do not over fill the pod as there needs to be an air bubble in the pod to allow the liquid to wick into the coil correctly.

Another cause of gurgling is if the mouthpiece has not been securely attached after refilling. Even a slight misalignment of the mouthpiece can cause gurgling or leaking issues so please ensure it is fully snapped into place after filling.

XROS pods are best used with nicotine salt e-liquids and freebase e-liquids with a blend of 50% PG or more. It is best to avoid high VG e-liquids as these are too thick for this style of pod and may result in a burnt taste.

The resistance you choose will depend on your personal preferences and vaping style. The higher the resistance, the less vapour will be produced by your vape and the battery life of your device will improve slightly.

The 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω are the most popular resistances so these are a good place to start if you would like to experiment with the various options. If you have a compatible kit, the 0.4Ω option is ideal if you like to vape in a RDTL style.
