You must be over the age of 18 to purchase any of our products, and by law, we must carry out the necessary checks to ensure all our customers are of age. The process is quick and easy, it only needs to be done on your first order, and for the vast majority of people it is an instant and automated process.

This page will talk you through everything you need to know about our verification procedure and hopefully answer any questions you may have.

How do you verify my age?

We partner with 1account.net in order to verify your age. 1account's software is able to run a series of checks on databases in order to verify you are over the age of 18. In the majority of cases the process is instant, but occasionally you may need to supply further details to complete the process.

Once you place your first order you'll be taken to an order confirmation page that will show a red box stating 'AGE VERIFICATION REQUIRED' as shown in the image below. Click the 'GET STARTED' button to be directed to 1accounts secure form.

Once directed to the 1account form you'll need to supply your full name, address, mobile phone number, email address and date of birth. It is important that all the information is up to date and correct or the system may not be able to verify you automatically. Please also include a mobile phone number rather than a landline because this is a quickest and most reliable way that the system is able to verify your age.

If the automated system is unable to verify your age we will require a photo of your passport or driving licence so we can manually do it for you. Please send a photo to hello@vapeliquids.co.uk along with your order number. Once one of our team has completed the verification, we'll let you know via email and dispatch your order. We won't store your ID and you won't need to complete this process again unless you create a new account or change your name.

What happens if I don't complete age verification?

If you don't complete the age verification process you will receive email notifications from 1account and our customer service team who will provide you a link to where you can complete the process. We can not dispatch your order until this has been completed so it may cause delays to you receiving your items. If we don't hear from you or 24 hours passes after we email you, and your age has not been verified, we'll cancel and refund the order in full. Although we will process the refund immediately, please allow up to 10 working days for the banks to process the refund back into your account.

Do I have to verify my age on every order?

Thankfully not! We only need to verify your account once and you won't have to go through these steps again. If you create a new account using a different email address you will be prompted to complete the process again.

Will the process affect my credit score?

No. All the searches are 'soft checks' and will have no impact on your credit score although they may appear on credit score checker systems such as Experian and Clearscore.
